Analog hexagonal classical acoustic guitar pickup    Although the idea of six individual outputs from an electric or steel-string acoustic guitar is not new,  the state of the art has not progressed much since the 70's,  Ubertar is a small company that makes coiled hexagonal pickups for steel-string guitar, Roland makes the GK3 for steel-string guitar, the Axon PU100 made by Roland and Seymore Duncan also provides six-channel output for steel-string guitars as well as others. The ability to process each string individually and rout to individual amplifiers for tonal modification and spatial modification provides unlimited possibilities for composers. Since there are a certain warmth and response about analog that gets lost after conversion to digital. (needless to say that Midi guitars and guitar to midi converters are awesome for synthesizer effects) I designed and built a Hexophonic pickup for nylon string guitars. Taking into account that a guitarist playing a...

“Do you communicate with spirits?” These other worlds or dimensions where they live may be as dangerous as the physical world you live in.    In these worlds, one can encounter beings of light with compassion and understanding, but you can also meet beings of darkness that function in arrogance and greed. To communicate with one of them, there must be a connection between their world and ours, and this can be very dangerous unless you’re sure who you are connecting with, and who its friends are.” “Why is it dangerous if all you’re doing is communicating with a spirit? They can’t actually hurt you, can they?” Some of these spirits have malicious intentions and the power to overwhelm and enslave you. So if you enter any of these worlds, you must go directly to a link, or be prepared to face beings that will attack you and devour your consciousness, which is worse than physically hurting your body.” “Have many people lost their minds to these beings?” “Yes, i...

As Jane Roberts channeled Seth's message, Ashar teaches the Thinkers

Image
Jane Roberts channeled information from a higher realm in the voice of Seth. She wrote many books In Seth's voice inspiring new ways of seeing the world and possibilities that may exist.   Ashars arrival at Thinkers Island provides a fresh look at some of these metaphysical and spiritual ideas.    Jars with mixtures of leaves, stems, and green plant substance filled the shelves of her kitchen. A small table and single chair were all that fit among the many plants Melanie Ashton cared for. Her house, in a secluded part of the island, was also her botanical research lab. Many different species, individually potted and wired with tiny sensors, provided her with data that led to an understanding about the information that these plants exchanged, and the ether that carried such information. She called this the bioenergic realm of the plants. Melanie was always a vivid dreamer, especially after being wired up to her plants. But one night she had an extraor...

Thinkers Island a utopia like Atlantis is born

Image
Was the great flood a result of a giant meteor passing by earth and shifting its axis? It could have been the demise of Atlantis like it was the birth of Thinkers Island. Add caption Thinkers Island was born from this catastrophe and evolved similar to Atlantis, a Utopia.   “Your Majesty, the object that I’ve been looking at in the sky is approaching quickly and will soon have a great effect on our land,” the astronomer announced, panting at the doorway to the king’s dining chamber. The king, obviously not moved, took a slow sip from his goblet before responding. “I looked into your amazing device, my dear Eron, and could see the small object that you refer to. But surely you wouldn’t have me believe that it could hurt or in any way destroy my kingdom?” he asked with a mocking smirk. “It only appeared small because it was so far away, Your Majesty, but it now appears much larger and will reach us in three days.” “Do you take me for a fool?” He sma...

Beings from parallel dimensions at Thinkers Island  And just for an instant, he peeked into this world, his image extruding through the membrane that separates his world from ours, not knowing that his consciousness would be imprinted here for decades   Have you ever noticed a face with explicit emotional expressions and unique qualities appearing on an unevenly painted surface or a collection of boulders on an island, or the face of a cliff or even a piece of toast?  Seeing faces  in inanimate objects is common, and it has a name: pareidolia . It is a psychological phenomenon that causes the human brain to lend significance—and facial features, in particular—to random patterns.  This explanation of how we interpret these otherwise undecipherable visual experiences as “the mind filling in the blanks” is well accepted,  How, and why, for some of us, we might also receive emotional, or euphoric feelings is another question.  ...

A place where physics and metaphysics meld into one

Image
Deep within the Bermuda triangle, there is an island kept secret from the world. It is called Thinkers Island. Reality is very different there and not subject to the laws of nature as we know them. On this island physics and metaphysics meld into one.     W riting about physics, and science is a doable task. Depending on the educational achievement of the author, the article can be of varying complexities, from a simple observation easily understood to a twenty-page thesis with laboratory experiments, complicated formulas, and terminology backed by deep understandings of a particular field. There may be some challenges, but a few more mathematical equations and further experimental models can shed further light on its subject. M etaphysics, on the other hand, does not have the luxury of formulas and facts to back it up and is widely accepted as abstract theories with no basis in reality . Bef...

The metaphysical consciousness of free will

Image
For what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil There is a school of thought, (and I am sure it has a name,) which claims that we function via a complex system of electrical signals traveling through a neural network of highways driven by commands from the brain. In a way indicative of computer savviness, it is described as a  processing system constantly using input data as well as memory data to determine the next instance and that it provides a feedback loop giving itself the illusion of free will.  Some of us might find this a plausible theory since the idea of an external force of some sort from another dimension controlling or overseeing our behavior is not viable. We would rather see ourselves as a single unit self-propelled and interacting with the surroundings that provide input to the processor in the brain. The feeling of self or free will understood as just a biological idea designed in our system as a feedback loop needed to ge...
